Our policy for returns, refunds, exchanges, and cancellations – applicable to all Soundnotation, Soundtribution, and Sonokraft services.

We offer a 30-day return policy for physical items, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
Eligibility for returns
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, in the same condition as when you received it, with all tags attached, and in its original packaging. You will also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
How to start a return
To initiate a return, please contact us at distribution@soundnotation.com. We will provide instructions and, if applicable, a return shipping label.
Please do not send items back without first contacting us — returns sent without prior approval will not be processed.
Return shipping costs for physical items
The customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping.
Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately at distribution@soundnotation.com if the item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong product. We will assess the issue and find a fair solution.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
The following items cannot be returned or refunded:
- Digital downloads (e.g. PDF sheet music, MusicXML files, downloadable scores)
- Custom-made or personalized products (e.g. individual music transcriptions, arrangements, editing, or other services tailored to your specific requirements)
- Perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants)
- Personal care items (such as beauty products)
- Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases
- Sale items and gift cards
Right of withdrawal
Consumers may have a statutory right of withdrawal (cooling-off period) depending on their country of residence.
Digital content (downloads)
For contracts concerning digital content not supplied on a tangible medium (e.g. downloadable sheet music, PDFs, MusicXML files), the right of withdrawal expires as soon as the download or streaming has begun, provided you have expressly consented to the immediate performance of the contract and acknowledged that you lose your right of withdrawal by giving this consent.
Custom-made / personalized products
For goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalized (e.g. custom music transcriptions, arrangements, editing, or other individually tailored services), the right of withdrawal does not apply.
Exchanges
The fastest way to get the desired item is to return the original product (once accepted) and place a new order for the replacement item.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you whether the refund has been approved. If approved, you will be automatically refunded to your original payment method within 10 business days. Please note that it may take additional time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
If more than 15 business days have passed since we approved your return and you have not received the refund, please contact us at distribution@soundnotation.com.
